Mrs. Fortunato’s Message
Happy Mother's Day to all our wonderful moms!
We had another successful week of learning and attending the May school Mass was just what we needed! I hope you were able to take a few minutes of rest to participate in the Rosary Prayer video created by various members of our community. Mrs. Sharp spent many hours putting that precious gift together for our entire community. I have gotten text messages and email messages from parishioners who appreciated it too.
We have a storage box in front of the school waiting to be filled! Please remember to complete your Fatih Family project for Country Arch Care Center. Our notes, cards, and pictures will bring complete joy to the residents who live there. It has been a very long and lonely nine weeks for them. The box will be picked up Monday evening.
Thank you for submitting photos for our Friday Fun videos. It is so nice to see the pictures of our precious students. Please submit student photos by Thursday afternoon. It takes time and talent (Thank you Mrs. Lindgren) to create and post a new video Friday afternoon.
We are beginning to organize and pack each student's personal belongings. The front office will contact each family in approximately a week to let you know when you can come up to the building to pick up your belongings. Once school is over, there will be another drop off time scheduled for returning books, devices, and all other learning materials that belong to the school. More information will be sent home at the end of May with detailed instructions.
I appreciate your patience as we work to collect and package family belongings. We are carefully following CDC protocol to keep everyone healthy. Two teachers are allowed in the elementary building at a time. Each teacher will work in his/her assigned classroom with the door shut, to sort student work and personal items. Please note, the school office is officially closed. Office phone messages and office emails are checked daily. Kudos to Mr. Keilce, Ms. Judy, Ms. Karen, Mr. Bob, and Mr. Kevin for keeping our building super clean and sterile, as they work with masks and gloves. We are grateful!
