Parent Nights for the 2019-2020 school year are as follows:

All Parent Nights will begin with parents meeting in the cafeteria.
Registration for 2019-2020 School Year
Online Registration emails have been sent to parents for the upcoming school year. Please be sure to complete and submit your student(s) online registration as soon as possible. Emails are sent from: infosnap@hoover.k12.al.us. If you have not received your email for online registration, please contact the Registrar.
The office must have your current address on file. Please provide a deed/lease along with a current utility bill (power, water, or gas) if you have moved and have not turned in updated documents, or you are living at the same address but your lease has expired. These requirements must be completed in order for your student’s name to be included on class list day.
If your student will no longer be attending Bluff Park Elementary for the upcoming school year, please contact the Registrar to complete Withdrawal Forms.

School Fees
You may begin paying school fees on August 1, 2019. Online payment is preferred at https://secure4.myschoolfees.com/ in which the school will receive an electronic notification of your online payment. You will need your child's 9 digit ID number. Online letters with the student ID number should arrive via email on or before July 25, 2019. MasterCard and Discover will be accepted for a 5% online fee. There is no online fee when paying by ACH check (be very careful to enter your check routing/account numbers correctly, or it will be rejected). NOTICE: Hoover District Policy: Online transactions are still pending until payment has been posted by Hoover City Schools. If the online payment is rejected, no additional purchases for school merchandise and/or events such as t-shirts, yearbooks, PTO events, etc. can be released until the fine is paid. This fee shall be added to the total amount due. If you do not have access to MySchoolFees, you may pay cash, check, or money order at the school during Meet the Teacher on August 7 between 8am-10am. No payment can be made in person at the school prior to August 7. If a check payment is returned, it may be re-presented electronically by Nexcheck on the same account, and a fee established by law, may be debited from the same account. Nexcheck will contact you by mail/telephone to make payment arrangements directly to Nexcheck, PO Box 19688, Birmingham, AL 35219 (800-639-2435).
No additional purchases for school merchandise and/or events such as t-shirts, yearbooks, PTO events, etc. can be released to the child until fees/fines are paid.

Essential 55
Rule 1: Always be honest and respect others' comments, opinions, and ideas.
Rule 2: When meeting new people, shake hands and repeat their name.
Rule 3: Make eye contact when someone is speaking.
Rule 4: Respond to adults with "yes ma'am" or "no sir."
Rule 5: Always say thank you when given something.
Rule 6: Do not show disrespect with gestures.
Rule 7: Follow classroom procedures. Be organized, efficient, and on task.
Rule 8: Be swift, quiet, and orderly during transitions.
Rule 9: Be humble and kind. Hold the door for others, pick up something if it is dropped, say excuse me if you bump into someone and take all opportunities to perform random acts of kindness.
Rule 10: Do your best to better yourself, not get a reward.
Rule 11: Learn from your mistakes and move on.
Rule 12: Be the best person you can be!

All K-2nd grade students will be in the same house as their classroom teacher. All 3rd-5th grade students will randomly draw a house to be placed in during their time at Bluff Park.

Please sign your kids up for Summer Reading at any public library! There are many fun, free activities all summer long at the Hoover Public Library and Vestavia Library! The Hoover Library will also be offering free lunch most weekdays. If you participate in the summer reading program you will get a special invite to Mrs. Dolan's Lunch Ice Cream Dance Party!
