Students in the Community
Thursday night the Ada County Prosecutor's Office had their annual Christmas Party. Sixth grade alto saxophonist, Anthony Armon, performed for the party! One of the prosecutors told him Careless Whisper is one of her favorites and that she was proud of him! Way to take your new music skills out into the community Anthony, we are proud of you!

Library Elves
Mrs. Morgan had some elf help this week decorating for Christmas and bringing joy to the library.

Earthquake Resistance
Mrs. Navarro's 8th grade earth science classes had the opportunity to make models out of spaghetti and marshmallows to see how well their buidings resist earthquakes. Students followed the process and protocol for testing their models on shaking tables to simulate the movement of an earthquake.

Butter Making
Right before Thanksgiving break, Mrs. Orr's class made butter. Each student used a small container and tight fitting lid with heavy cream inside. They began the process of shaking their containers until buttermilk separated and a ball of butter was formed. It took about 10-15 minutes of shaking, but each student was successful in making their own butter and then got to test it out on a piece of bread. Delicious!
