He wrote the book My Dearest Julia. Benjamin studied at Princeton universty,Universty of Edinburgh, and West Nottingham academy. He lived in Byberry,Pennsylvania. Tresurer of the US mint (1797~1813). Benjamin founded/co founded of American Psychiatry and Dickinson college. Signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. He insisted on a theoretical structure for medical practice.
