SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE
A Message from the Principal
CMES Families,
In these unique times, I know it could be extremely stressful for you to balance working from home and delivering instruction to your children. Many of us at Cecil Manor are going through the same thing trying to balance both work and home life at the same time. So please, take your time in getting the schoolwork done. Pace yourself! It does not have to all get done in a day. Our teachers are here to support you. If you have any questions about the work or need assistance in accessing the work, please email your child's teacher and they will respond during their office hours. You can find teacher office hours in this newsletter.
The distribution of learning materials is still happening. If you have not already received paper copies or in need of a Chromebook for your 3rd, 4th or 5th grader, please reach out to your child's teachers. Distribution Days are Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9-12 pm.
Stay Safe,
Mr. Stephen
CCPS updates will be posted online at www.ccps.org and CCPS social media (https://www.facebook.com/CCPSMD/ and https://twitter.com/CCPSMD )
Calming Your Child's Fears
In times like these, it may be hard to explain to your children what is actually happening right now. If you are not talking to them about it, they will hear about it from those who are misinformed. If you need ideas on how to talk to your child and clam their fears about Coronavirus use this brochure for some guidance.
Please know that we are here to help. If you or someone you know is need of support, please contact our counselors Mrs. Brown & Mrs. Malesh by emailing them at mmalesh@ccps.org or nmbrown@ccps.org.

Our Media Specialist has put up Google Classroom "fun extra" assignments for grades 2-5 in her Media Google Classroom. Here is how to access those assignments: On district-issued Chromebooks - the students log in and the Google Classroom icon should be at the top of the toolbar.
For students using parent devices, go to the link below.

Select “Go to Classroom.” Students will need to log in with their CCPS log in credentials. All the classrooms that the student is a part of will show up.
Library Media: I’ve posted several “fun” assignments for students to do over this furlow! With these “assignments,” students may comment to me privately, and I can help them with whatever issues they may encounter with tech or assignments.
