Helium
Learn some interesting facts about helium!
Basic facts
Helium's chemical symbol is "He". It's atomic mass is 4.0 and it's atomic number is 2. It has 2 protons, 2 neutrons, and 2 electrons.
Interesting facts
This element is located where it is on the periodic table because the atomic number is more than one (Hydrogen) but less than three (Lithium). Did you know that helium is one of the only two natural elements that have never been observed bonding to another element in compound? Helium is the second most abundant element in the universe. In 1928 helium became available on the open market for the first time (helium was/is used for many different things like helium balloons).
