MAP Testing Begins Next Tuesday for Grades 1-4
Data from these assessments assist in personalizing learning and school accountability. MAP tests are unique in that they adapt to be appropriate for your child’s level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing.
We are truly excited as MAP will allow educators to focus on every child’s individual growth and achievement. Partnering to help all kids learn, parents and teachers can have a profound positive effect on the lives of children.
Please assure your child arrives at school on time so they are ready for testing.
Thank you!
Professional Learning Communities in Action
A PLC is a group of professionals that collaboratively work together to ensure students learn by looking at how they learn, how they will know if they learned, and what to do if they don't or already know the concepts.
After two to three months of working together and strategizing, the teachers at Walsh have worked so hard to ensure all students are learning and making growth toward state standards. As a way to say "GREAT JOB!", the Walsh Leadership Team surprised the Walsh staff with a celebration of breakfast and coffee as a token of their appreciation and accomplishments of the students! Below is a glimpse into the celebration.
AMAZING WORK TEACHERS AND STUDENTS!
STEAM ~ "Glow Week" is Next Week!
A fun glowing celebration will be taking place during STEAM classes next week. Students can wear bright colored shirts on their STEAM days such as: White, Neon Green, Pink, Yellow, or Orange. Please see the day of the week of your child’s STEAM class.
They are not wearing a colored shirt all week; they are only wearing it on the day they have STEAM class.
Reminders will be sent out on Seesaw the day prior to their class.
