Rock Your Socks
Students and staff are encouraged to ROCK YOUR SOCKS on Thursday, March 21 to bring awareness to Down Syndrome. Wear crazy, fun, or mismatched socks on this day. The date, 3/21, represents Trisomy 21 which is the third replication of the 21st chromosome and also the medical term for Down Syndrome. More information about Down Syndrome can be found here.
Light It Up for Autism
April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. #LightItUpBlue on April 2 and wear blue to show your support for Autism awareness. According to Autism Speaks, “Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today.” More information about Autism can be found here.
Seussical the Musical: Sensory Friendly Performance at GCIT
Gloucester County Institute of Technology presents the production of Seussical the Musical. Performances will be March 27th - 30th at 7pm and March 30th at 12pm** in the GCIT Mainstage Theatre.
