The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. The Wi-Fi Alliance defines Wi-Fi as any "wireless local area network (WLAN) products that are based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) 802.11 standards".[1] However, since most modern WLANs are based on these standards, the term "Wi-Fi" is used in general English as a synonym for "WLAN".

Bands allow the phone to be used in different countries. For example if i have a phone in England and i can only use it in England then it is 'single' band. However if it works in two different countries it is called 'dual' band and if it works in three different countries it is called 'tri' band and if it works in all counties then it is called 'quad' band.
