World Thinking Day
On Feb. 22 of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 146 countries celebrate World Thinking Day (WTD). That's one big celebration and it's a great opportunity to rally your global Girl Scout sisterhood around a particular theme.
The World Thinking Day 2016 theme is "Connect." Check out the theme and learn more about the activities available this year by clicking the big green button below.
For more information on World Thinking Day activities and events contact the Troop Support team at the Leadership Center.
Adult Awards
The deadline for award nominations is February 22, and the nomination forms will be accepted online only. Click here to view the forms.
Girl Scout Week
Girl Scout Sunday and the Girl Scout Sabbath give girls an opportunity to be recognized as a Girl Scout at their place of worship. Girls may also perform a service, such as greeting, ushering, or doing a flag ceremony. Girl Scout Sunday and Girl Scout Sabbath are also great opportunities for girls to organize a service project or other activity for their congregation or as a way to say 'thank you', if the troop meets at a place of worship, for their support and sponsorship.

Program Registration is Getting Easier!
With the new system, you can use the NEW Activities tab in your Member Community to find great programs and training for you or your girls. Once you are logged in to your account, you can easily pick your events and manage the entire process from there. Plus, for those that like to use our Events Listing and/or Calendar pages, those will also still be available to find what you need.
Look for more information and step-by-step tutorials in the weeks ahead.
Here are the key dates for the upcoming transition:
Feb. 13 - 14 - Spring Program Registration opens (at this time, registration will still be handled through the ORS and require a second login)
Feb. 15 -16 - NO EVENT REGISTRATION will be available during the system transition
Feb. 17, 9 a.m. - NEW SYSTEM GOES LIVE; parents and leaders can now register for events and trainings through their member community.
