Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin has gone off to France to convince the french help the colonists out during the revolutionary war. Benjamin Franklin was an inventor and was a patriot. A major factor that gave the patriots the victory in the war was the Treaty of Alliance with France. Without Benjamin Franklin and his negotiation with France the patriots would have lost.

John Locke

John was an English philosopher that was considered the most influential of the Enlightenment thinkers. He is known as the father of classical liberalism. His ideas was the base of the colonists new country. He believed that all people are free and equal and people have natural rights. These rights include life, liberty, and property. He also believed if a government does not protect people's natural rights then they can overthrow the government and start a new one. Locke's ideas were influential throughout centuries and changed governments.
