September 11 is Patriot Day (US) and First Responders Day (TX)
In compliance with Texas House Bill 1501, we will observe one minute of silence on 9/11 to honor the lives and the memory of those who died in the September 11, 2001, attacks on our nation and those First Responders who committed acts of great bravery during the events of that day.
In addition, we invite our staff and students to show honor and patriotism by wearing red, white and blue on Friday, September 11.
Finally, we would love to have our Hosp family of First Responders here on campus, the morning of Friday, September 11, in their uniforms or work attire, to greet arriving students and participate in morning announcements.. We would also like to invite them to stay for a reception in the Hosp library as a small Thank You for what they do each and every day! If you are able to attend, please arrive by 7:15 and check in at the office.
TX HB 1501:
On September 11, each year the date falls on a school day, public schools will invoke one minute of silence at the beginning of the school day in observance of the events that took place on September 11, 2001. The instructor in each class will make a statement referencing the memory of those who died that day, prior to the period of silence. Adds Tex. Educ. Code ยง 25.0821.
Join Us for Curriculum Night!
The focus of this evening is to share district grade-level curriculum with parents so you're aware of what, and how, your child is learning at school.
- Sessions for each grade will begin promptly at 6pm.
- Parents should enter thru front doors and proceed to their home room class (no Visitor badge required).
- We ask that kids stay home as this is an important, informational night for parents.
- Home room teachers will have sign-in sheets.
- For parents with multiples in the same grade, the information will be the same for each classroom.
Choir & Music Website
There are two different Music tabs: 1) Grade Level Programs and 2) Choir. If you need the choir sign-up form, click on the Choir tab under the Music tab - the form is attached to the bottom of the page.
