Claret Spritzer 21A comes to Reading
Reading Buses have added a new bus and route going to the University of Reading. This bus is the coolest bus in the world; it’s called the Claret Spritzer, it will be doing the 21a route to the University and Reading Station. There are a few more things to this because there is a whole other world on the upstairs Top Deck of the Bus which has been transformed, while downstairs, is still the same (albeit their standard high-spec with USB charging points throughout).
Top fun on the top deck
They have completely refurbished, theses buses. They have been transformed into a vibrant social meeting place designed to give you more fun on your journey. You can chill in one of three zones; each one has its own particular theme. The themes are the Study Zone, Games Zone and the Lounge Zone. At the front of the bus, you can see the study zone for anyone who wants to do their studying, and for some comfort and space. There is a study lamp and honesty library for those booklovers who like to read, you can get lost in any number of fantastical worlds, really getting into the books, whilst you are whisked to their destination. You can take advantage of their superfast 4G Wi-Fi to browse the web for answers to really tough questions.
We’re moving down the Bus now, where you next encounter the Games Zone. Here you will find tablets embedded into tables, and preloaded with lots of games for you to play with your mates. This Bus also has board games for if you are more of an 'old school games' person. You can also show off your building skills using the special Lego tables on some of the Buses.
At the back of the Bus, there is a Lounge Zone fully equipped with a special U-shaped seating booth, two contactless phone chargers, and best of all, a Bluetooth mp3 jukebox that you can connect your phone to and play your favourite tunes!
On the 24th September 2015 Reading Buses launched a trial of the new Claret Spritzer Bus coming to Reading to do the University route during the term times. They had refurbished four of their Scania Double Decker Buses used on theses journey's extensively with a new zonal concept on the upper Deck. There are four new Claret Spritzer Buses here now in service for you to enjoy. The first two came in the beginning of October, and the second two came in the same month a couple of weeks after to join the party. The 21A route runs between the University of Reading and the station.
However long your journey is, Claret Spritzer is sure to keep you entertained.
