Sight words: We have introduced all of the sight words for the year. Please continue to review the words at home. Students should be reading the words in a "snap". Challenge them to see how many words they can read in a minute!

* April is national poetry month!


Writing: Students are continuing to work on their "how-to" writing.


Math: Topic 10: Composing numbers 11 to 19.


*Pocket Math Addition- If your child's wardrobe includes pockets, please send them to school wearing articles of clothing that have them. We will be counting how many pockets we have on our clothing each day using unifex cubes. This will help to create a concrete visual of the tens and ones place for students. Each day we are trying to beat the previous one!

*As a class, we planted four different lima bean seeds. Each seed will receive a different amount of care .We will be observing these seeds once a week and recording our observations.
