This Month...
- Professional Development: Our monthly district school counselor meeting focused on resources and laws designed to support and assist students that identify as homeless. Students that are homeless lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. They:
Share the housing of others due to loss of housing, economic hardship or similar reason
Live in motels, hotels, trailer parks, campgrounds

- February 5-9 was National School Counselor Week.
- Breakfast for Students began. For the remainder of the semester, the counselors will be serving breakfast twice a week to students.
Learn 2 Ski
Both Ms. Jacobsen & Mrs. Greene participated in this annual school wide event. It was a great opportunity to connect with students outside of school.
BIONIC Team Hosts Breakfast
The BIONIC team helped out and made 150 pancakes to serve to students on February 28th.
Imagine Project
Students from each grade level were selected to participate in The Imagine Project hosted by its founder, Dianne Maroney.
New Resources
The counselors have added a few new resources to the iQuad.
- The picture book and parent/teacher guide book to The Imagine Project for anyone that wants to lead this activity in their classrooms.
- Black History Flashcards as part of our celebration of Black History Month.
- Puzzles: they're a great brain break for staff and students, and fosters teamwork and less students on their cellphones.
Den Lesson: I Have a Dream, What's Yours?
Students had the opportunity to listen to the famous speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and create their own "I have a dream" speeches.
