Locating your Child's Cohort
In order to locate your student’s cohort, in StudentVue or ParentVue, you will click on the tab that says Student Info (should be near the bottom of the screen). Once this tab is open you will be able to see the cohort by looking at the HYBRID Cohort Box on the right of the screen.
Hybrid and CDL Only Schedules
BMS now has two different schedules that will be implemented with an effective start date of April 19th, 2021. Please note all students will continue with CDL during the morning portion of the school day. Students/families who have selected the CDL Only (online only) program will continue with the completion of Asynchronous activities during the afternoon portion of the school day. Students/families who have selected the Hybrid (CDL and In-person) program will attend online CDL classes in the morning portion of the school day, enjoy lunch, and travel to BMS for in-person instruction for the remainder (afternoon) of the school day. Click here to preview our schedule(s).
Arrival
We are filled with anticipation for the arrival of our Beaumont Bobcats. Thank you for all of your questions and feedback as we prepare for Hybrid Instruction. As students arrive, we will give students copies of their schedules. Staff will be there to help students find their classes. Do not worry, we will make sure they get to the right location. Many of our 6th graders have never been inside of our school. Thus, our counseling department is providing a distanced friendly orientation (please note: this is just for students - parents will not be allowed in the building). Additional information is included in the counselor message (read on).
Grade Level Entrances
We have designated grade-level entrances. However, if your 1st-period class is one of the following, Band, Choir, Art, or PE with Mr. Eltagonde you will enter in a different location. See the list below:
- Grade 8: Science Wing (By Ms. Carr's Room)
- Grade 7 and Bus Riders: Bryce and 42nd Avenue
- Grade 6: 41st and Fremont Avenue
- Choir Rm 20: Pencil Gate(Formally the drama room)
- Band: Portable entrance
- PE with Mr. Eltagonde: New Gym Foyer
- Art: New Gym Foyer
Hybrid Expectations
We would like to share with you a video about Hybrid Expectations. You can find the link here. Staff and students will use the Covid Screening Checklist daily prior to arriving on campus. If your student feels ill, please keep them home. We want to ensure that we are actively working together to keep everyone healthy.
Once students arrive on campus, Beaumont Staff will conduct visual screening for each student. Staff and students are expected to wear masks while on campus. Every student is required to wear a mask while on campus. If students arrive without one, we hand them one.
Once students enter the building, they will be asked to use hand sanitizing gel and to report directly to their first-period class. The first day of the cohort will be spent reviewing expectations and other important school protocols.
Classes will begin at 1:30 pm. We are asking that students arrive at school as close to the start time as possible. Students should not arrive at school more than 10 minutes early. If at all possible, have students arrive just before school starts. While waiting outside, students will be asked to keep a safe distance from others while waiting in line to enter the building.
Devices
If your student is currently using a personal computer for CDL and plans to bring that device for Hybrid, please note that you will bring the device know that you and your student are assuming liability for the device, should the device be damaged, lost, or stolen. It will be your child's responsibility to manage their device. In regard to personal devices, they will be required to log on to the PPS Guest Wifi. Students may not share their devices with their peers for health protocol reasons.
If you prefer to have your student check out a PPS-issued Chromebook, we do have some devices available for check out. The device will be checked out using their student ID number. Should there be a functional issue with the device, we are able to make arrangements to replace it.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to students on Monday!
Have an Awesome Weekend!

Urgent: Covid Testing Forms and Guidance
Dear Families of Beaumont Middle School,
If you have not heard, PPS schools will be receiving Abbott BinaxNOW COVID rapid tests. Here are the important points of this test and testing in schools:
- Testing can be done on symptomatic students who have any primary COVID symptoms or present with two or more non-primary symptoms.
- Testing can only be done on students who present with symptoms while at school. Students cannot come to the school to have testing done. If testing is needed on a student who is not currently in the school building, the student must access testing at a community site.
- Students must be able to swab their own nose. Testing cannot be done if the student needs assistance.
- If a student receives a COVID test for illness symptoms, they are to go home that same day, regardless of the test results, and a nurse will contact them with a return to school date.
- A consent to test needs to be obtained prior to testing. You can obtain this consent HERE.
- For a list of primary COVID symptoms, non-primary symptoms, please visit: OHA/ODE Communicable Disease Guidance.
Please feel free to email or call with any questions,
-Nurse Cam

Message from the Counseling Team for 6th Grade Students
Hello, Beaumont Community!
We are so excited to be welcoming back some of our students for Hybrid in-person instruction starting the week of April 19th.
We will be conducting first-day orientation tours for our 6th graders and our new students to be able to familiarize themselves with Beaumont. These tours will be led by teachers, and students will also view an orientation video. Please note, due to COVID protocols this event is limited in capacity to Beaumont students and staff. We look forward to seeing you next week!
