Winter Gear
Students take boots off outside of our classroom and put them on trays so we do not track winter weather into our classroom. Please let me know if you have any questions.
What did we learn this week?
Writing: I continued modeling the the writing process. (Think, Draw, Say and Test, Clap and Count, Write) The students are still working on the "who" and "did what." I drew my picture ahead of time and the students had to guess what my story was about. This week the students continued drawing lines for words in their sentences followed by beginning and ending sounds in words. We are still working on clapping and counting our words to create lines and write what sounds we hear.
Phonics: We continued to work on beginning sounds in words. We also learned the poem "Turkey Tom." We learned two new high frequency words; "is" "of" and "you."
Math: We learned some fun math games this week. We had time with our 4th grade buddies and early release so it was a great week to learn some new games:)
