Bobcat Connection
Learning. Growing. Collaborating & Achieving @KrumHighSchool
January 8, 2018
Good afternoon, KHS Families. Thank you for a great start to 2018! It is my hope that this note finds you staying warm and dry on this January evening.
On Friday night our Lady Cats opened their season with a big win over Decatur. We wish them luck as they host a tough Argyle team on the road on Tuesday.
The Melissa Cardinals were unable to stop the Krum Bobcats on Friday. Our Bobcats have one more non-district match before Friday's District Opener against Gainesville. We hope you can join us as our Girls and Boys will play in Gainesville. We will also have a pep rally on Friday.
On Thursday, January 5th, our Football Team, Trainers, and Cheerleaders celebrated a successful 2016 season. It was a meaningful experience to hear the testimonies of coaches about players and to witness the love among programs. Krum is a special place because of our students, our families, staff, and stakeholders. This event was a reminder of just how fortunate we are to have our Bobcat Family.
On Saturday our band members are competing at the ATSSB Area Auditions. We wish them the best of luck. Next week, they have a regional clinic and concert at Argyle High School. Moreover, our choir students will be competing for the All-state choir on Saturday. We are proud of our students and their success!
As stated last week, January is school board appreciation month. If you see one of our seven school board members (Mr. Borchardt, Mr. Cofer, Mr. Knight, Mr. Andrus, Mr. Farmer, Mrs. Real, and Mr. Edwards), please let them know that their donation of time, talent, and leadership is greatly appreciated. We are fortunate to have learner-centered men and women leading and serving our district.
Let's make it a great week.
Go Bobcats!

School Report Card
The school report card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.
The 2016–17 school report cards are now available.
The school report card definitions, updated each year, explain several of the terms used in the SRC. The school report card definitions are also available in Spanish.
The U.S. Department of Education also requires an annual report card with specific district- and campus-level data. The 2016–17 federal report cards will be released in January 2018.
