Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in all KSD 140 elementary and middle schools on Monday, November 21, and Tuesday, November 22. In an effort to better serve our parents, we will be hosting both IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Scheduling
Please click the Parent-Teacher Conference Appointment link found at ksd140.org and follow the directions for scheduling a conference. Our PTCFast online scheduler will be open through Friday, November 18.
Parent-Teacher Conference Format Options
IN-PERSON Schedule:
Monday, November 21: 5 pm - 8 pm
Tuesday, November 22: 12 pm - 3 pm
VIRTUAL Schedule:
Monday, November 21: 1 pm - 4 pm
Tuesday, November 22: 8 am - 11 am
Middle school conferences will be eight minutes in length, regardless of the format selected.
Please note that middle school Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held individually by teacher this year. Please log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to review your child’s teachers and subject areas before scheduling your conference(s).
Thank you for your support as we work together to create a cooperative home-school partnership.
The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Grissom! The Fair will be held next week, November 14th-18th, during school hours. Please read the attached letter for more information about the Fair!
ANDREW HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION
Please see Andrew High School's Class of 2027 information page for further information regarding important upcoming dates.
Student Support
Student support is open to any student who wants to complete schoolwork in a supervised, quiet setting.
Before-school support is offered Monday - Friday starting at 8:00 A.M. Students attending can be dropped off at Grissom's main entrance. Students will not be able to enter the building before 8:00 A.M.
After-school support is offered Monday - Thursday until 4:05 P.M. An activity bus is available to take regular bus riders home at that time, if needed.
After School Activity Bus
An after-school activity bus is available ONLY for students who are legal bus riders. Students who attend after-school activities that last no later than 4:05 P.M. can take the bus home. Students who want to ride the activity bus must sign up using the digital sign up form posted in every classroom at Grissom.
Lunch Drop Off
If you are dropping off a lunch for your child, please press the buzzer at the main entrance. The office staff will buzz you in, and you will leave the lunch on the shelf of the cart labeled with the correct grade level. PLEASE label the lunch bag and any other items with your child's name and grade level.
Fountain drinks are not permitted at lunch. Please do not include them with your child's lunch.
We prefer that the person dropping off the lunch be a parent or family member. If you must use a delivery service for delivering your child's lunch, please make the service can deliver the lunch on time and with your child's name labeled on the lunch. Too often, lunches are delivered after the scheduled lunch time and without any information for whom to give the lunch.
