FUNDRAISER!
Our "Fun Run" is on Tuesday October 15th! Through our visits with our fun run leaders we have learned about honesty, gratitude, generosity, kindness and humility. It has really been a lot of fun! We use our MIND SPARK! everyday to show how much we have learned and to continue to solve clues to a puzzle as we head to our FUN RUN!
The students have really enjoyed this so please consider donating to this awesome fundraiser as this is our last weekend. We have earned $33/lap which has given us our next incentive! We will have pajama day this MONDAY OCT 14th! Thank you again!
Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions!
PAW PARTY!
We did a vote today and the students chose to have a "FUN FREE PLAY DAY." We will be doing this next Tuesday afternoon! I told them that I would also provide SNACK for that day as well.
Congratulate your child on doing a fantastic job showing Jackson Pride in the classroom!
Harvest Party!
We will be doing a variety of fun "harvest" activities amongst the kindergarten classes at Jackson. This is also a party where we will NOT need volunteers. Let me know if you have any questions.
What did we learn this week?
Writing: I continued modeling the the writing process. (Think, Draw, Say and Test, Clap and Count, Write) The students are still working on the "who" and "did what." I drew my picture ahead of time and the students had to guess what my story was about. This week the students continued drawing lines for words in their sentences followed by attempting beginning sounds in words.
Phonics:. The new words we learned this week were; for, my. We continued practicing rhyming words and I'm getting better at my ukulele skills as we sang "Down By the Bay." See if your child can sing it for you!
We also learned the poem "Baa Baa Black Sheep." We continued our work with rhyming words.
Math: We leaned a few new iPad games and began our number writing.
