Greetings everyone!
I hope that during this holiday season you have time with your families, friends or any tradition that helps you to relax and enjoy. I know that we have all been busy providing our students with the best education possible during these “interesting” times. From absences to grade level skills and emotions, our students and families have many needs. The Teaching and Learning department has been working on addressing these needs to help support the classroom.
Recently we met with the administration to review where we are at in the UDL process. We reviewed the next module and training and discussed how to provide in class examples, and tools. The Technology Education Lead will be working with the Blended Learning Team to provide professional development that is tied to the first four modules from your UDL training. These training sessions will be for clock hours and recorded.
Teaching and Learning will also be meeting with the studio teachers after break to look at the role they will play in UDL modeling and support. These two teams will be working together to support teachers in understanding UDL, tools and strategies.
In the meantime here is a GREAT article that both these teacher teams will be discussing. If you get the chance, it is worth the read! It may help with many questions you have or give you more to ponder.
