Instructional Software Procedures and Protocol
Software zones include the following daily interventions- Reading Zone, Word Zone, Spelling Zone, Writing Zone and Success Zone. It should take between 7-10 days for students to cycle through each topic.
To get the most out of software time, students should log on each day for 20 minutes, or 100 minutes weekly. It is critical that students log on right away and actively engage in the activities for full comprehension and vocabulary support. A participation report is pulled bi weekly to monitor software time and counts as a minor assessment grade 35%.
