The Joseph-Beth Book Fair is Coming Soon!
We’re excited about our upcoming Book Fair. There will be hundreds of books available for the students to purchase. Prices will range from $2.50 to about $25.00, with the average price of a book being $6.00 or $7.00.
There will be something for all ages, so perhaps plan to get a head start on your holiday shopping. The Greene Book Fair will also have some of the more popular and newer books written by this year’s visiting author, Margaret Peterson Haddix.
The first day of the Fair is Thursday, October 27 and the final day is Friday, November 4. It will be open each weekday from 7:45 am -3:00 pm, and will also be open during ALL conferences times.
Your child’s class will visit the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled Home Base time. Students are also encouraged to visit the book fair independently any time during the week by getting a pass from their teacher.
Conference time is an excellent time to come with your child to shop at our Book Fair. We will remain open during the evening conferences on Thursday, October 27 and Thursday, November 3 until 8 PM. We will also be open on Conference Day, Friday, October 28. So . . . be sure to stop by the Media Center. We’ll be looking for you!
Additionally, we will be collecting loose change (or dollar bills) to help buy new books for the Operation Give Back library in Blue Ash. You can go to www.ogiveback.com to learn more about that organization. There will be a jar at the Fair in which to donate your loose change (or dollar bills). Our goal is to donate $100 worth of new books to OGB.

Immunizations for Junior High
There are 2 shots needed before 7th grade (New State Requirements for 2016/17).
If the child goes for Wellness checks every year, most likely they have had them. The Tdap is (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis) and the Meningitis or MCV4.
Both shots are recommended at age 11.
***Check with your doctor to verify if your child has already had both shots. If your student has them fax, copy or send them to Julie Wolf at Greene, ASAP.
Make an appointment (months in advance) for the child when he/she turns 11 to receive both shots if you know these have not been given to your child. At the time of the appointment ask the doctor/nurse to have the record faxed to Julie Wolf, School Nurse at Greene.
We would like all shot records to be received by May 12, 2017.
Please only send the records to the Greene school (health records stay in that building until summer).
Please try to do this at your earliest convenience and know we appreciate your effort to make this transition the best.
Information can be found at the CDC (Center for Disease Control Website). Search vaccine for 7th grade.
