The J-Hawk Experience
Info you need to know for the week of Dec 5-9
Message from the Principal
Regarding the week of December 5th at UHS-
Monday, December 5th, will be an 8-period Day, Day 1 - As with other Mondays, we will have a late start due to teacher professional learning Monday morning. This week, we will continue with our normal 8-period Day with 1st period starting at 9:20am. It will be a Day 1.
Grading for Learning- As we approach the last five weeks of the semester, it is important to continue to focus learning through the demonstration of learning through evidence (assessment, reassessment, retake, etc). If students are not at level of learning they want to be at, they may engage in additional learning and reassessment. These reassessments may be traditional re-take of some part of a test or some other body of evidence.
Please continue to elevate and support each other in our UHS Community and our Urbandale community beyond, seeing and getting to know the person next to us!
Sincerely,
Tim Carver
Principal

HERE IS AN FAQ (frequently asked questions) document regarding Grading For Learning at UHS to assist with everyone's understanding.
