The Weekly Star #27
April 5-9, 2021
Principal's Corner
Dear Montessori Academy at Onesimo Hernandez Parents,
In week #27, our 4th grade children will be administered the STAAR Writing assessment. We have 20 children who will participate in the statewide testing during the testing window in April. We will have some children who will receive paper test and all other participants will receive the assessment online. We need all staff hands on deck to administer optimal testing environment for the children. Thank you!
As we prepare for the next round of STAAR in May, we kindly ask our 1st and 2nd grade children to be virtual on May 11th and May 12th to support our 3rd & 4th grade children. We will utilize teachers to administer testing groups on those days. Please help support our testing plan for MAOH. We will send flyers as well to communicate reminders. Thank you!
Thank you for choosing us, believing in us and most importantly, giving us the opportunity to make a difference with your most precious gift- your child!
Your Proud-Dedicated Principal,
Lisa Ann Vega

World Health Day falls every year on April 7th. The World Health Organization draws attention to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world. This year's theme is
“Building a fairer, healthier world”.
National Library Week 2021: Welcome to Your Library
The theme for National Library Week (April 4-10, 2021), “Welcome to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and that everyone is welcome to use their services. During the pandemic libraries have been going above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding their resources and continuing to meet the needs of their users. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer opportunities for everyone to explore new worlds and become their best selves through access to technology, multimedia content, and educational programs.
We thank you Ms. Rutledge for being the best librarian at MAOH!
