Growth and Development - through analysis and feedback
We shared a survey link this week from the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS). This is the first step in our whole-school assessment. Through this data, along with information gathered through observations and interviews, we will begin to form our next School Improvement Plan as well as a 3 to 5 year professional development and implementation plan.
You will find a link to the survey below; you will also find a link on our website under "Quick Links."
The survey window is open until October 14. Please expect frequent reminders, and thank you in advance for your participation in the survey!
“In a growth mindset, challenges are exciting rather than threatening. So rather than thinking, oh, I’m going to reveal my weaknesses, you say, wow, here’s a chance to grow.”
– Carol Dweck

PARENTS OF MANCHESTER ESSEX MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Parents of Manchester Essex Middle School (PMEMS) is excited to support our teachers and staff for another great school year! Thanks to our generous parents, we've already provided books and recess equipment. Help us do more by contributing student dues at:
Grade 6 Literacy Class
Mrs. Marra’s Literacy class and Mrs. Krause’s Information Literacy are reading "Unstoppable" by Tim Green. It is a book that asks the reader to think about priorities and values.
The main character is able to change his life by having a goal, a plan, and putting the plan into action. Sixth grade classes will have workshops with School Adjustment Counselor, Dr. Pennoyer, and Middle School Guidance Counselor, Mr. O’Maley, on character building and how it relates to the book.
