MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Our year has started off with great success. Our theme, "Cooley Colors the World" is evident as we see our students grow in the ways they will make an impact on our community and beyond. We see the hard work of everyone, and the smiles and laughter we hear daily are music to our ears!
I would like to express heartfelt thanks for the tremendous support of our major fall fundraiser. Our main sources of income, fundraisers and profits from our Extended Day Program, have been extremely low since we closed our doors in March 2020 for Covid-19. We held no major fundaisers last year and worked with limited capacity in Extended Day due to safety requirements. Your contributions this fall will help to maintain the level of excellence you expect and deserve for our students. Your continued support is far-reaching and greatly appreciated.
Additional fundraisers will take place throughout the school year. These smaller fundraisers help to assist with club fees, school beautification, and the purchase of new library books. Moving forward, student incentives for fundraisers will be based on school goals, not individual participation. Top sellers will be recognized, possibly with another surprise from Coach! We are aware of the needs in our community and will strive to keep our goals attainable, while meeting the needs of our school.
Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our school. We are very excited to welcome volunteers on campus in small groups this year. I am aware of the desire for many of our parents to enter our campus and help with our activities. Please know that we look forward to hosting large events soon, but we will continue to limit the number of people on campus as safety remains our top priority. Special thanks to our PTO directors for advertising and managing these opportunities.
As we near the end of the first nine weeks I could not be more proud of the strength and resiliency of our Cooley community. I look forward to all that we will accomplish as a team. As always, don't hesitate to reach out with feedback, questions or concerns. We are Cooley Strong!
