TeachMeet Learning Frontiers and Micro-Hack
What is a Micro-Hack? Technically, there is no such thing in education but we have trialled it and we know it works! A Micro-Hack is a speedy version of a “hackathon”, which sees a group of people meeting to collaborate to ‘hack out’ new tools and strategies. Hackathons have been used in many industries and professions, including in education, to spark new ideas and drive innovation. Our Micro-Hack will give teachers the opportunity to pitch an idea, tool or strategy that they have tried or would like to try in their school and draw from the collective wisdom of teaching colleagues to make it better.
This is also a fantastic opportunity to visit the new NSW Department of Education's newly prototyped flexible learning space and take away some ideas about modern learning environments.
