FRONTIER EAGLE NEWS
Fall 2019
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Frontier Families,
Happy November! First quarter absolutely flew by, and the second quarter is well underway. We’ve had a busy few weeks recently, and we expect the remainder of the calendar year to be action-packed as well. A huge thank you goes out to FMS families for your show of support during conferences; we had a tremendous turnout. It’s wonderful to meet with our students’ families and have the opportunity to collaborate. Our students make us proud each and every day; from academic achievement to extracurricular involvement to strong character, we truly have a phenomenal student body. Thank you for sending us your children each day!
The school year started out in full force with a busy first quarter. After school clubs, intramurals, and tutoring began, cross country athletes finished up their very successful season, and the students put on a wonderful talent show and choir concert! We highly encourage student involvement, and if your child is interested in being involved, please see the daily bulletin for opportunities. Winter sports also begin this week for our eighth-grade teams, and we love to pack the house full of eagle pride for our home games! Join us for our first home basketball game on November 13th.
In addition to having students dedicated to academic success and involved in activities, we also strive to set goals for student attendance. Please continue to encourage good attendance as we enter the holiday season and help us remind students that every hour of attendance counts. We would love to see our average daily attendance reach at least 95% each day.
As always, thank you for the continued support you provide to the FMS community. We are fortunate to have such supportive partnerships with students and families to promote a positive educational experience. Please continue to stay informed with Frontier Middle activities by downloading the WSD app, visiting the district website at www.wentzville.k12.mo.us (and choosing Frontier Middle School from the dropdown links), reading our daily bulletin that is emailed each evening, and following us on Twitter @WSD_Frontier.
Best wishes for a successful second quarter!
Dr. Jeri LaBrot, Principal

HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS SHOP
- Frontier Middle school is excited to partner with Morning Star Church again this year for their Christmas Shoppe! This year instead of asking for individual items on the Christmas Tree ornaments, Morningstar Church has created Amazon, Walmart and Target gift registries. You can find them by searching Christmas Shop. Parents can choose to have them delivered to the church or to their home and then bring them to school for pick-up. For more information, please contact Amy Koeln at amykoeln@wsdr4.org or 636-625-1026 x 33243.
