Green Team Weekly Update
Week of 3/30-4/3
Classroom Happenings
ELA- Mrs. Forderhase
This week in ELA, students read an article by NASA astronaut Scott Kelly with tips for living in isolation since he spent a year living on the International Space Station. Students responded in writing to prompts about the article and a Good News Stories video I shared to get in the habit of writing daily. Students also registered their personal reading book and should now be reading for at least 15 minutes a day. There is an online resource page for books in Google classroom if your child does not have a physical book to read.
Thank you for your support. Stay well!
Science- Mrs. Kenney
The second week of online learning in Science will be starting our Waves Unit. Students will receive assignments in Google Classroom. Instructions for each assignment and due dates will be posted in Google Classroom. Please email or call with any questions or concerns.
Social Studies- Mr. Ward
This week in Social Studies we started our Civil Rights unit. We began by learning what rights are guaranteed to Americans through the U.S. Constitution. Students defined and gave examples of the Bill of Rights. Students then explored the remaining 17 Amendments. We will be reviewing these amendments next week before continuing on to Civil War and Civil Rights vocabulary Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I hope you are all doing well and thank you for your support.
