U.S. suicide ratings
SALT LAKE CITY — About one in 15 Utah adults seriously considered suicide in the past year, the highest rate in the nation, according to a new report.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study found 6.8 percent of Utahns age 18 and older had suicidal thoughts based on data from the 2008-2009 National Survey of Drug Use and Health. Georgia had the lowest rate in the country at 2.1 percent, or 1 in 50 adults.
The authors thoughts
Personally, I think suicide is wrong but if someone is helping them kill themselves, then they better be going down with them because that is breaking the hippocratic oath and it is just plain wrong. I just don't understand why people would kill others especially if they didn't want to die because in my vocabulary book, that's murder. Even if they want to die, there are hundreds of suicide hotlines around the world and i'm pretty sure they can talk to you about why you need to live. (the one in the bio is real)
