A Message from the Principal
Dear PV Eagle Parents/Guardians:
I hope this message finds you well. The first quarter will be wrapping up in the next few weeks. I encourage students to continue their hard work and maintain a positive attitude toward their studies. Consistent effort, active participation, and open communication between parents, teachers, and students are essential for a successful school year.
Please continue to check your student's grades and look for missing assignments on Infinite Campus. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s academic progress, please reach out to their teachers, who are always happy to help. We are here to support your child's academic and personal development in every way we can.
Best Regards,
Maura R. Baskovich
New Sidewalk
Open for Business!
Our sidewalk is now OPEN! Walkers who live east of Prairie View (toward St. Stephen’s), please use the new sidewalk when walking to and from school. Please reference the map (click on map for larger image) below that includes information regarding which way students who are walking will enter/exit Prairie View depending on which direction they are walking.
*bike riders must walk their bikes until they get to the sidewalk near the street*
Student Dropoff
There is no adult supervision outside of the school until 8:25am, so please refrain from dropping your student(s) off any earlier. If you do need to drop them off early, please do so by 8:00am when our Student Support begins in the Media Center. Unfortunately, students arriving late to Student Support will not be allowed to attend.
Assembly
The state of Illinois has a mandate in place called "AnnMarie's Law". This law requires suicide prevention and awareness for all students in grades 6-12. In order to meet this mandate, this year, we have a wonderful speaker coming to Prairie View from 1 to 2pm on Wednesday, October 11, named Austin Lanier. Austin is going to share his story about the many hardships he has faced throughout his life, and how he was able to overcome them.
