NOTE FROM THE NURSE
All current 7th graders will need record of the Tdap as well as the MCV vaccine before the start of 8th grade. If your child has had these vaccinations, please send an updated record with your student to the office.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be held March 6 and 7 (with the 8th as an inclement weather make-up day if needed) in the Powell Conference Room, which is located in the lower level of the Central Office building at 951 W. College Street in Troy. Students must be five years of age by July 31, 2018, to register for kindergarten. Registration hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both days. To register your child, you will need to bring the following:
Child’s birth certificate
Immunization record
Parent/Guardian picture identification
Two (2) current (within 30 days) forms of proof of residency (i.e. lease agreement, rental or purchase contract, utility bill, medical bill, credit card bill, current tax receipt, payroll check stub, voter ID card, bank statement)
Court documents, if applicable (proof of guardianship, divorce decree, DFS placement papers, foster care, etc.).
It is not necessary to bring your child with you at the time of registration. If you have any questions, you may contact the Registrar’s Office at 636.462.4930 x50401.

START AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
Students may arrive no earlier than 7:00 am. Students must stay in the cafeteria till 7:15 am. After 7:30 am, students must sign in at the office. Students may be accompanied by an adult, bring a signed note or the parent may call to verify the students late arrival.
Students will be released at 2:30 pm (1:20 pm on Early Release Wednesdays). Car riders can be picked up in front of the building. If a dismissal change is necessary, please be sure to call the office before 1:00 pm to request the change. Early Release Wednesday times are no later than 12:00 pm. to request the change.
MEAL CHARGING PROCEDURE
Students are required to keep meal accounts current with a positive balance. However, there are instances when meal accounts do reach a negative balance. If a student’s meal account has a negative balance, below are the District’s practices for students purchasing meals at school:
Students are allowed to accrue a negative balance of -$10.00. NO ala carte or beverage charges are allowed if a student has a negative balance.
Once the maximum of $10 has been met, the student may receive a designated menu alternate for both breakfast and lunch.
Cashiers will verbally tell students their current balance daily.
Email notifications will be sent weekly to parents.

Reduced Breakfast - $.30
Lunch - $3.00
Reduced Lunch - $.40
CANVAS PARENT USER ACCOUNTS AND CANVAS PARENT APP
Parents can now create a Canvas Parent User Account and add the Canvas App to become an observer of their student(s) assignments, due dates, announcements, and other course content. Parents may do one or both of these options to have access to their student's Canvas information. Parents will need to know their student's Canvas NDS User and Password.

BUS PASSES
For the safety of student riders and consideration of bus capacities, the use of bus passes will be granted for emergency situations ONLY and ONLY 1 bus pass will be granted per quarter.
Parents are required to call or submit a written note to the main office if there is a transportation change for their child due to an emergency. If there is no phone call or note, the student will be sent home as directed by SIS.
The permission note must be approved and signed by the administrative staff in the main office and presented to the bus driver when boarding.
Students may not ride as a visitor on buses determined to be “full”.
NO transportation changes will be made after 1:00 pm.
