A Note from the Interim Principal
Dear Families,
What a week it has been! Many thanks to all who attended our Pot O' Gold dinner and auction Saturday. Your generosity is much appreciated. A huge thank you to Lisa Phillips and Melodi Thompson for their hard work and long hours in chairing this event! For the school, the highlight of last week was a visit from four of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who taught at Saint Alice and Holy Family in the 1960s and 1970s. These religious women were honored as our Distinguished Alumni at the Pot O' Gold. During an all-school assembly Friday afternoon, these Sisters shared stories from their time at Holy Family and answered questions about their tenure at Holy Family as well as religious life. What a beautiful thing it was to see these women who have dedicated 50+ years of their lives to Catholic school education. Their legacy lives on! Thanks to each of you for carrying on the tradition of Catholic school in the lives of your own children.
As the quarter winds down to an end this week, we will work hard to finish strong! I pray you all have a wonderful Spring Break!
Blessings,
Veronica Tucker

A Message from PTO
We had a very informative meeting last Tuesday, March 1st. Mrs. Tucker presented Holy Family’s grade-by-grade results from Iowa Standard Tests in ELA and Math. Every grade averaged higher than the standard for the respective months in grade. The discussion included some brainstorming about academic goals and methods.
We also discussed PTO meeting times and which might be more popular. As a result, the March 29 meeting will be an evening meeting with childcare. Both March and April meetings will include a lookback at this school year and preparation for next year.
Best Wishes, Mrs. Rians!
Welcome Dr. O'Keefe!
