END OF 1st MARKING PERIOD
The First Marking Period ends on November 7th. Report cards will not be sent home. End of marking period grades will be accessible on Wednesday, November 16th @ 8:00 AM through the Parent Portal. You can print out your child's report card from the parent portal. Please make sure you check your child's progress in all classes. If you have any questions about your child's grades, please contact the teacher or guidance counselor. To request a copy of your child's report card, please contact guidance.

Celebrate Education Week
Thank you to all the parents that came out to visit us during Celebrate Education Week. It is a wonderful opportunity for Lenape to share all the teaching and learning that goes on during a school day! One quick reminder: So that we can respect privacy and confidentiality for all of our students, we ask that parents do not take videos or pictures while visiting Lenape. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Family ID Registration - Winter Sports
Family ID registration for winter sports is now open for girls basketball, wrestling and boys basketball. All kids participating in a winter sport must sign up and turn their physical or recertification form to Mr. Kriney.

STUDENT PORTAL
Students can now check their grades on the student portal. This information was emailed to students in their CBSD email account. The screencast explaining how students can access the Infinite Campus Student Portal is ready and posted on the CBSD website under Parents/Students ->Student...look under the IC logo. Click here to view the tutorial. Each school will decide how to roll out access to 7th and 8th graders this fall after student photo ids have been distributed.

PARENT POSITIVE SPEAKER SERIES
Mark your calendars for the next Parent Positive session scheduled for November 1st.
We are pleased to offer a screening of the documentary Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age, immediately followed by a panel discussion with time for questions from the audience.
The film explores the impact of cell phones, social media, video games, and internet addiction on our kids. Please click here for more information www.screenagersmovie.com.
Screenagers will be shown in the Lenape Middle School Auditorium and will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
Registration for this free event is encouraged but not required.
Babysitting for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade is available. Pre-registration is required if our babysitting service is needed.
The Parent Positive Speaker Series is a collaboration among Doylestown Health, CB Cares Educational Foundation, the Central Bucks School District, and the Central Bucks Family YMCA.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
The Thanksgiving Food Drive will start today for the school. Students are encouraged to sign up (during homeroom). Each homeroom has a specific food or household item to collect that will be used to create a completed Thanksgiving meal for a family in need.
What about a turkey? If you would like to make a donation towards a turkey to complete our box, that would be great! We also would accept an entire turkey please call Mrs. Kuntzmann in Guidance office and she can give you the details.
This Food Drive is a completely optional and will be treated as such in the classroom! If your student shows interest in participating and wants an alternative donation, they will be invited to create a card to place in the box. We will provide the materials. Thanks in advance for your support.

Food EDucation for a Healthier Community: A series of talks about our food system, health, and what we put into our bodies.
Thursday, October 20 - "Why do we eat what we eat, when we know what we know?" Holistic Health Coach KIRA KRAIMAN teaches the basic of Behavioral Change and how they apply to cravings, comfort eating, and other factors keeping us from making the changes we want to make. Leave with a solid plan for changing one small behavior to help improve your health.
Thursday, November 17 - "Food Allergies and Sensitivities" - Dr. JULIA HELSTROM, DO discusses whether some of our health issues could be due to food sensitivities or allergies. What's the difference and how do we figure it out? Join us for an in depth discussion and Q & A.
Thursday, December 8 - "Eating Well for the Winter Season - Holiday Temptations and Optimal Food for the Cold Weather" - Dr. KRISTANN HEINZ discusses strategies for maintain good health, energy and weight amidst the season's temptations. Learn about the foods our bodies need to support our immune systems in the winter months.
Cost: $8.00 per session, Special package: pay for all sessions up front, $20.00. Sign up for the three part series and receive a $10 co-op gift card ($15.00 for Doylestown Food Market Members)

Yes, Lenape collects Box Tops! Our Life Skills class uses Box Top activities to reinforce skill development. Lenape earns money for every label collected.
Please send your Box Tops to school labeled "Lenape Guidance" or drop them in the box in the lobby adjacent to the main office. Please don't worry about cutting the labels, tearing them off is fine.
