Principal Points
The first semester has ended and our students are continuing to show a growth mindset. Teachers will offer parent conferences to review your child's mid-year progress. Please come out to see how hard your child and their teacher have worked this semester. We are gearing up to celebrate National Digital Learning Day on February 17th and National Engineers Week February 22-26. Check our our twitter page during both of these events to see all of the excite happening at our school.
Perry Harrison Awards
Perry Harrison continues to be recognized as a leader in several areas the last couple of weeks. We have been recognized for being a leader in staff wellness with the Champ Award, Green Ribbon school for Positive Behavior and Intervention Support and have been award close to $4,000 in grant money for professional development and ipad minis in third grade. Perry Harrison has recently been awarded an "Ignite the Power of STEM" grant and was invited to showcase STEM teaching strategies in Washington, DC.
Cold and Flu Season
We are still in cold and flu season for everyone. Parents will be called to pick up their child if they have a fever of 100. Students must be fever free for twenty-four hours without medication before returning to school. It is important to send a note once your child returns to school letting us know your child was sick but is now able to return.
Traffic Tips
Wondering how to avoid some of the traffic in the mornings and afternoons? In the morning, car rider traffic is lightest between 7:30am-7:40am. In the afternoons, the line gets shorter around 3:10pm.
