Book Fair
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our library. After missing out on many beloved traditions, our fall Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. The fair will run from December 6-10 in the MBMS Library. Students will visit the fair with their LA teachers. It will also be available before school, lunch, and until 3:00p.m.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair LINK from December 3rd-10th. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair. We look forward to seeing your child there! Happy reading!

Our next concert will be Wednesday, December 15th at 4:00 P.M. for 6th and 7th grade bands. Once again, students should report to the band room no later than 3:30 P.M. dressed in their concert attire. Robotics Team Moves onto Southern California Championships!!!
We are excited to share the recent success of our Robotics teams. All four Robotics teams have qualified for the upcoming December 12th Southern California Championship by winning their regional competitions.
Our teams researched current challenges with cargo transportation in the real world and brainstormed creative and innovative ideas for solutions as part of the Project component of this season. They also designed and programmed their Lego robots to accomplish autonomous missions. They learned how to present information, answer questions in front of judges and how to solve problems when things aren't working.
Congratulations to our teams:
Team 52747 Boom Dynamics - Winner Champion's Award 1st Place
Team 52320 Energetic Poway Nerds - Winner Project Award 1st Place

Are you a good coordinator? The Meadowbrook PTSA needs your help!
We need help with the following volunteer roles:
VP of Fundraising - Contact some local restaurants and coordinate parent/student drop-in fundraisers about once every other month. We have a list to work from.
VP of Membership - Send out occasional emails and post on social media to bring in more members, and help advertise our district-wide membership competitions. Also works with our Treasurer to update members.
Book Fair Coordinator - Work with the school librarian to get volunteers for the Book Fair sales days, and track financial totals at the end of each day.
Are you a PTSA Member? Help us reach our mid-year goal of 300 members!
We are just shy of reaching our mid-year membership goal. Membership is only $11 each, and anyone can be a member (parent, student, family, relatives, friend, boss, anyone!). When you join our PTSA, you're helping us fund many important programs during the school year, including Cross Country, Book Fair, SAT Testing, and more. Joining can be done easily by using Totem (https://ronr.pro/mbms) or by filling out an application and dropping it with a check/cash in the PTSA dropbox in the office.
Meadowbrook PTSA has always had strong family support, and your membership is more valuable than ever before. Please join and let's see if we can blow past our membership goals for this year!
