A MESSAGE FROM MS. BASKOVICH
Dear Prairie View Eagle Families:
As we “Spring Ahead” this weekend, my favorite word in that phrase is Spring. Warm weather and Break will make all Eagles happier. Everyone has been working hard, so the break is well-deserved. In the next month, students will be taking academic assessments, and we want students to put forth their best effort. We are proud of our student's academic and athletic achievements. Please remind your students that they should continue to work hard classroom and be respectful in their peer interactions. Encourage your students to make good choices. We appreciate your support this year. Have a wonderful weekend!

Share your thoughts to help improve our schools!
Over the upcoming weeks, D140 students, teachers, and parents will be given the opportunity to weigh in on school climate and learning conditions by taking the eleventh annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey.
Please click here to take the parent survey.
This survey assesses a school’s culture and climate and provides insight into strengths and weaknesses on the five key factors that research shows are predictive of school success - effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction.
Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child. We must get a 20% parent response rate for our results to be reported.
Thanks for your support!

Dear Prairie View Families,
We hope this school year has been wonderful for everyone thus far. As you may know, the PTO runs on donations from families and money from fundraisers we do throughout the school year, such as school kits, hot lunch, give-back days, and donations we receive at our walk-thru. With these fundraisers, we are able to do many things for the school and the students. Some of these things are:
Student of the Month Reward-lunch from Pop’s
Media Center-To purchase new books and materials
The Principal Fund-For discretionary use
Free Hot lunch and Ice Cream Day for each student-End of the year for students
AHS Scholarship-Award to Andrew Senior for college tuition
Educational Equipment-Grade Level/Classroom Equipment
8th Grade Celebration-food, entertainment, supplies, and decorations
Honors Breakfast-Invite Only
Without all of your help, we could not do these things and more. We are sending this information out with our most recent fundraiser. We are supporting local and earning funds for our PTO to keep providing these things and more listed above.
With that being said, our fundraiser is a personal favorite of ours. We love popcorn, and since we were introduced to the delicious popcorn that Popus Popcorn makes in-house and sells, the PTO decided this would be a great all-school fundraiser. Popus is located in downtown Tinley Park at 6741 South St. The best part about this fundraiser is that you can place your order online and pick it up at the store. There is no need to pay for shipping unless you are located out of town or are sending it to someone out of town. Another huge perk to this fundraiser is the PTO will reward Prairie View spirit wear to the highest-selling student in each grade. Please go to the link to place your orders. Share with friends and family on your social media pages, and please be sure to TYPE A STUDENT’S NAME YOU ARE SUPPORTING IN THE PARTICIPANT BOX PROVIDED. This will be how we track the highest sales. Sales will be from March 9th-March 19th. Please click here to order. If you have any questions, feel free to send an email to Deanna Tuman at dtuman29@gmail.com.
Thank you,
Prairie View PTO
