Dear Village Oaks Families,
Last Friday, during our Villa meetings we learned how to SYNERGIZE. During the meetings we discussed how important it is to get along with other people while working in groups, valuing the strengths of others as you allow yourself to learn from them, and how we can come up with better solutions working with others rather than working in isolation. Below are a few pictures from one of our Villas. I encourage you to revisit the conversations we had about synergizing and discuss different ways to synergize throughout the course of the day.
Sincerely,
Alex

Spring Fling Important Update
Dear Parents,
As you know, Spring Fling is our biggest event of the year. It is also one of our most important fundraisers of the year. This fundraiser supports our school, teachers and students directly. Even more importantly, this fundraiser cannot happen without the volunteers of our parent community! Your child’s teachers have signed up to volunteer (even though they are in class and teach all day), we now need your help! If we do not have enough volunteers, we will not be able to run all of the games! Don’t let this year be the year Spring Fling was cut short!
Please see the attached flyer and please use the following link to sign up and help our school during Spring Fling. Your Teachers and your Children will thank you for it!

VO Flags
One of the things that makes our building so special is our diverse student population--we have families in our community who come from all over the world! To celebrate our global diversity we have hung flags in our cafeteria that represent many of the countries of our VO families. As a gift from our retirees from last year we were given ten flags of the following countries: Israel, India, England, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria, South Korea, China, and USA. Thank you to our parents who have also donated the following flags: Poland, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Nepal, Greece, Pakistan, Uruguay, Ecuador, Portugal, Spain, Central African Republic, South Africa, Wales, Iceland, and Armenia. If you would like to purchase a flag of your country of origin or to represent one of the many nationalities of our school please visit Amazon and search for an ANLEY 3x5 flag: VO Flags
Before purchasing and donating the flag to our school’s collection please contact me or one of our secretaries with the flag information so we can make sure that another family has not already ordered the same flag.
