Different Screen Views on Wonderopolis
This view is from the "Explore Wonders" tab. On this screen, students can search directly for topics they are interested in, or explore the most popular topics. Teachers can give their class the number in the bottom left hand corner of an article if they are teaching younger children who are unable to type in long titles. This trick saves time when trying to get all of the students to navigate to the article.
This pictures shows two features every article on Wonderopolis has. The "Wonder Word Challenge" is a great way for students to reinforce their vocabulary. The challenge will give them five words with five definitions and the student has to match each correct word and definition together. The "Test Your Knowledge" button will give students a three question quiz that assesses what they learned while reading the article. This helps reinforce new information the student learned during the activity.
At the end of each article, there is a "Try It Out" section. This section offers several fun activities that students can complete by turning to a partner. There are usually several options given so students can choose the activity they are most interested in. This is another great way to reinforce new information.
