Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year!
The guidance department here at Woonsocket High School and the Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center are committed to working with our students and their families as they navigate their way through their academic process, career planing and college readiness.
Our goal is to assist our students every step of the way:
- Your counselor will help you use your Individual Learning Plan ( ILP ) to set goals and make plans for graduation and beyond.
- Your counselor will help you learn about the many opportunities that are available to you.

Interested Juniors MUST register for this test in the WHS Guidance Office by September 16th.

Join Homework Help Club!
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 2:30pm to 4:30pm weekly in the library.
This is a drop in program, meaning students may attend as needed and are not required to be there every day or for the full two hours.
The Late Bus leaves the WHS main entrance at 4:30pm. Students must sign up in the library after 2:15pm each day they plan to ride.

Attendance
- Students can enter the building through the cafeteria doors at 7:15
- Doors officially open at 7:35
- First period begins at 8:00, where all students need to be by 8:00
- Please avoid scheduling vacations or doctors appointments when school is in session
- Develop backup plans for getting your child to school if something comes up; call on a family member, neighbor or another parent to take your child to school
