D140 Schools Commemorate Veterans Day
D140 students, families, and staff commemorated Veterans Day with special assemblies at schools throughout the District. We are grateful for the veterans who joined us and shared their experiences. Together, we honored the millions of American military men and women who have bravely fought to build, improve, and defend our nation's freedom.
Seventh-Grade Students Participate in Project RIDE
As part of Project RIDE (Reinforcement in Drug Education), seventh-grade students at Grissom and Prairie View Middle Schools participated in team-building activities and met with representatives from the Tinley Park Police Department and the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. D140’s Project RIDE program raises awareness and provides education on several important topics, including internet safety, online enticing, cyberbullying, tobacco/vaping/marijuana prevention, juvenile law, and underage drinking.
