MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear CMS Families,
ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT IN THE 3rd GRADING QUARTER! WOW! It is hard to believe we are rounding third and heading home. My ongoing message will be very simple to students and staff, "FINISH STRONG."
PM DROP OFF
As the number of cars in the PM pickup line has increased, we've noticed a minor congestion on North Street and the south entrance, impacting our transfer bus. To alleviate this, we request parents participating in PM drop-off to first consider parking in the upper Board of Education parking lot instead of waiting along the sidewalk.
MARCH 04 - FAMILY FUN NIGHT
Monday, March 4th is our final Family Fun night. There is no homework assigned and no school activities after 5:00 giving students and families time to relax. Usually Buckeye Chocolate, Jersey Mike's, and Cap's Pizza participate by offering families a discount on food or beverage items. Great night to RELAX so students are ready for MAP testing the next day.
Enjoy your weekend.
Mr. Tomco
FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT
Please consider joining us for an evening of literacy fun! The highlight of the evening will be a presentation from Malcom Mitchell. Malcolm is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. As a high school senior, he was an Under Armour All American and went on to finish in the top 10 all-time receivers during his playing career at the University of Georgia (UGA). After graduating from UGA with a degree in Communication Studies in 2015, Malcolm was drafted by the New England Patriots, becoming a Super Bowl Champion in 2017. Malcolm speaks on topics including the power of literacy, overcoming adversity and teamwork.

CAREER CAFE
Chardon Middle School's second Career Cafe went amazingly! The students loved hearing from a pilot, many even got his autograph. We might have some future pilots in the making.
Career Cafe is new program facilitated by our School Counseling team. Students can sign up for a career speaker during their lunchtime to learn more about the profession.
