Spring Carnival - March 15th
PTA is still seeking volunteers for the carnival! Please see the link below:
Kindergarten Meet & Greet - March 21st
March 21st from 3:30-5:30PM
Kindergarten meet & greet is an opportunity for our newly registered kindergarteners to tour the school, meet Stowe staff, sit in the kindergarten classrooms, and take a bus ride around our school grounds. Parents will receive vital information about the start of their kindergartener’s school journey and get connected with any resources needed.
How do I register for kindergarten?
Please enroll (register) your child in kindergarten by clicking the red ONLINE ENROLLMENT button on ISD 709’s website below. Physical copies will be provided at kindergarten meet & greet as well. Even if your child attended pre-k or early childhood screening, online enrollment for kindergarten still must be completed. Please complete this by Wednesday, March 20th.
Mandatory forms to complete online or bring to Stowe; students will not be allowed to start school without these four items on file:
- Registration Form (www.isd709.org/families/enrollment)
- Legal Address Verification → such as a signed lease, property tax statement, purchase agreement. We cannot accept utility bills.
- Birth Verification → such as a birth certificate, passport, hospital souvenir certificate, health care professional certificate, or SLC registry verification.
- Health History → up-to-date immunization forms and physical/dental/eye exam records. Please contact the nurse’s office with any additional health issues that we need to be aware of. 218-336-8965 x3905 or annette.fedler@isd709.org.

Please make sure to register your students at mybooster.com so that they can be part of the fun! You will be able to make fun videos with your students and ask family and friends to join in the fun on social media. Thank you for supporting our school!

What We've Been Up To...
Read Across America Day
Last week we celebrated Read Across America Day! All students headed to the halls at 9AM to read their favorite books, and our fifth graders read to our kindergarten readers-in-training. They had so much fun dressing up as Dr. Seuss characters too!
Ski Club at Mont du Lac
This might be a snow-less winter, but that hasn't stopped our Ski Club from hitting the slopes at Mont du Lac!
Minnesota Ballet Visit
MN Ballet came to Stowe to perform for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and do some interactive ballet lessons with them.
Community Activities....
YMCA Day Camp - Directed by Mrs. Leslie Bucar!
We are excited to announce that the YMCA Day Camp, a program dedicated to serving children aged 5-13, will be running from June 17 to August 23, 2024. To participate, children must have completed kindergarten.
Operated by the Duluth Area Family YMCA since 1979, our program is designed to foster self-esteem, develop life-long skills, promote acceptance of all individuals, and instill an appreciation for the environment.
Reminders Found in Every Newsletter....
Building Security & School Hours
Parents are required to check in at the main office when arriving at the building. Similar to last year, parents and other visitors will not be allowed inside the building except for special situations or events. In these situations, a sticker visitor badge will be given to you from the office.
We practice a hand-to-hand exchange at the elementary level. If your student is arriving late or is being picked up early, an adult must come into the building with them and sign them out in the office.
School Day Hours

7:30am - Students are allowed in the building. Parent drop offs head to the main entrance (following Thanksgiving break). Bussed students continue to enter through Door I.

Information on Tardy and Unexcused:
