School News
At school we are working on respect for others. Please continue to support this work by reminding students to be respectful of each other and of adults in the building. Recess is a time that sometimes finds more conflict. Please support us in reminding students that the recess supervisors are there to keep everyone safe. It is important that all students listen to their directions. Thanks for your help with this!
Lastly, one of our quotes has been- "In a world where you can be anything- choose kind!". We, as adults, can model this for our children! At this time of Thanksgiving- we have much to be thankful for! May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! We are thankful for all of YOU!
Family Teacher Partnership (FTP) Flash Sale and BOOK FAIR
FTP will be having a FLASH SALE in conjunction with the Book Fair December 5th and 6th from 3-5:30 PM in the library. There will be all sorts of gifts available to purchase for good prices! Stop by the library for the Buy One Get One Book Fair and Flash Sale.
Attendance
Attendance at school (and getting to school on time) are important to your child's learning. Please make sure you are getting your child to school on time. Breakfast eaters should arrive at 7:30 AM. This ensures they can get through the line and are done eating by 8:00 AM. If not eating breakfast, please drop your child off to the back playground lines between 7:45 AM and 7:55 AM. Please be aware there is NO SUPERVISION outside before 7:45 AM.
Your child will be marked tardy if arriving to the classroom after 8:00 AM.
Bus riders are dropped to the front of school and either eat breakfast or wait for bell.
If your child is ill or needs to miss school for an appointment, please call the office by 8:30 AM to verify the absence (262-472-8500). If you do not call, the school office will phone to inquire of the absence. If that contact is not able to be made, we may seek a welfare check to ensure the safety of our students. Please be sure to call the office by 8:30 AM.
Drop off and Pick up!
ALL K-5 cars should drop off and pick up in the new location (turn right on Whippet Way/Peck) follow the ONE WAY loop (DRIVE SLOWLY) and keep moving up toward the 4 car pick up and drop off area.
Breakfast eaters are dropped off there as well AT 7:30 AM and head through the "Turtle Doors" to enter.
If you have a 4K student, you should pick up your 4K student (and siblings) by the parking lot (old pick up) loop- by the double glass doors.
PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY! This is a school- and thus students are around. Please have safety be your top priority! In addition, when dropping off in the morning, be patient and drop off by the fenced in area. That way- we have a safe one lane drop off. Thanks to everyone for keeping all our students safe!
IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 8:00 AM or during the school day- you must park in the lot (by double glass doors) and walk to the main office via the sidewalk. You will need to buzz in and check in at the office. If your child arrives late, they will be given a slip to enter class.
If you are entering the building to pick up at 3:00 PM, you will wait in the office vestibule and doors open at 3:00 PM. If you wish to enter before 3:00 PM, proper check in procedures will apply (check in at office, apply VISITOR TAG, and be buzzed into the location).
Thanks for helping us create a safe school for all!
