ODYSSEY OF THE MIND UPDATE
It's time to register teams for Odyssey of the Mind; I have registered the school, so if you have a team in place, please let me know and I'll give you all the school information.
There are a couple students here and there who are still interested in participating. Team formation is largely a parent-driven and student-driven process that often involves the kids coming up with their own groups and then convincing a parent to coach. If you need help with this process, please let me know and I can assist you.
There is a coach training session in southern Vermont on Saturday, Nov. 5. Registration and all other OM information is at vt.odysseyofthemind.org. I can be reached at cheaevans@gmail.com if you have any questions.

CCS PTO ANNUAL FUND 2016/2017
Annual Fund
It is time for our annual fundraising activity! With full participation, we can reach our goal of $10,000! We encourage families to make a confidential monetary donation at any level.
Read-a-Thon
This year, all students can participate in a Read-a-Thon! Please use the chart on the flip side of this page to track pledges and minutes or books read. We hope this will provide a fun opportunity for the students to get directly involved with helping raise money for their school.
Once all of the money has been deposited, the class with the highest percentage of participation will receive a $100 gift card to the Flying Pig. Your donation will go directly to fund programs and grants like Four Winds, Young Writers Project, Residency programs, Author visits, the kitchen lab, music equipment, and more.
Deadline for all donations to be turned in to PTO will be December 12th. Donations will be accepted after this deadline, however they will not count toward the class participation award. You may use cash or check to pay, and watch our weekly newsletter for a Paypal option, coming soon as well. Contact ccspto@cssu.org with any questions.
Please submit the below slip, along with your payment in an envelope to your student(s) homeroom teacher(s), by placing it in the PTO mailbox at school, or by mailing to CCS PTO, PO Box 244, Charlotte VT 05445.
