Cougar Reminders
Bus Lane Reminder
Remember, there is NO PARKING directly in front of the school. This is a BUS LANE ONLY!
Please be aware that we have buses arriving and departing at varying times throughout the day. These areas need to stay clear of vehicles so that the buses can safely load and unload students. (This includes after school clubs) It is unsafe to pass buses even while they are parked due to students unloading.
We ask that you use the designated drop off and pick up lanes around the building before and after school. If you need to park and walk your student inside or pick them up early please use the 1 hour pick up area located just past the Bus Stop zone, or park across the street. There is no permanent parking in the bus lane at any point during the day. Englewood Police Department will be monitoring this before and after school.
Thank you for your support and cooperation to ensure the safe arrival and departure of all students.

Fitness Family of the Month
Who is in your family?
Heather (mom), Erin (12 years old, 7th grade), and Molly (10, 5th grade)
What are some of your go-to fitness activities your family does together?
When the weather is warm enough, we love to take leisurely hikes. The Jefferson County Open Spaces are close and not too difficult. Our favorites are Lair o’ the Bear, Mount Falcon, and Flying J Ranch. In the winter, we ski and visit places like the Englewood Rec Center and Defy for indoor fun.
We love living in Englewood because it’s so walkable. On weekends, we walk to Broadway to visit the Peace Cellar, Orr’s Trading Post, and Aki for sushi. In the summer, we ride bikes to Harvard Gulch pool.
How do you get ideas of free or reasonably priced healthy activities to do with your family?
To get ideas, we subscribe to the Denver “Things to Do” newsletter and Mile High on the Cheap, and we’re members of the University of Denver kids club (which has fun family activities). We’re always looking for new ideas and families to join the fun, so feel free to reach out!
