Did you know?
Missing 10 percent (or about 18 days) can make it harder to learn to read.
• Students can still fall behind if they miss just a day or two days every few weeks.
• Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
• Absences can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.
Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit now so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures - Safety First! - Please READ!
Just a few reminders:
When dropping off or picking up students on Jackson Street, always pull up to the furthermost color square when dropping off or picking up on Jackson Street.
Does your child ride a bike to school? Students MUST wear a helmet. This is for their safety and protection. If you do not have a helmet, please call Jaclyn Clendenen, Family Liaison, to arrange to obtain a donated helmet. Students are not permitted to ride without helmets.
Kindergarten parents - After dismissal, make sure you wait for siblings on Donelson Street or at Lifebridge Church. Our playground must be cleared at the end of the day.
Walkers or Car Riders?
Remember, if you have registered your 1st grade-5th grade student as a WALKER, that means those students are being dismissed to walk HOME. If you are choosing to meet your WALKER at a designated area, please remind students to use the crosswalks.
Never INSTRUCT your student to walk into the street without using the crosswalk.
This is especially becoming a problem on Donelson Street. We need your help!
