School News!
Winter weather is here! Please remember to LABEL and pack those snow pants, boots, gloves and hats! Students should be prepared to go out every day unless the temperatures (with wind chill) fall below zero degrees.
Our lost and found continues to grow- please remind your child that it is a good idea to tuck all winter items into a sleeve or designated bag. Not only will that help, but labeling each piece will also help!
All students should be dropped off on the far side of building (off of Prince/Whippet Way). Breakfast eaters should arrive at 7:30 AM and head through the Turtle Doors to the cafeteria. All other students being dropped off by car should go straight to their lines. Supervisors are out at 7:45-7:55 AM. Only 4K students should use the double glass doors off of the staff/visitor parking lot. Thank you!
NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON FRIDAY, January 25th. Teacher work day.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Drop off and pick up....we are making every effort to make this run smoothly. Signs will be installed soon. These signs will indicate a two lane merging into one lane when you enter the drop off area. Please follow these signs and allow one car to go from each lane in an alternating fashion.
Please continue to move patiently along the line and move up as far as you can when it is time to load. We are making every effort to have the children ready and waiting. Please remind your child of the importance of waiting in line safely and listening for their name to be called- this also helps a great deal! Please remember this side of the building is for pick up and drop off. If you are wishing to pick up your child in the office, you must park and enter the building to get them. We have had several cars wanting their child to go to the office and then run out when they see their car. THIS IS NOT OKAY- as it is very dangerous.
Finally, whether in the morning or afternoon, please be kind to the staff attempting to help. They are there assisting and see the big picture of student safety. So, while it may take 13 minutes to drop off- it is far more important to remember the safety of all- students and staff! Thanks for being kind!
