Nearpod
Tech Tool Talk
Nearpod
Nearpod is a tech tool that allows you to engage your students through lesson plans that they can view on their own screen. With Nearpod, you can share a code with your students that allow them to view your lesson and follow along as you teach. The great thing about Nearpod is that it allows you to do a "live lesson" or "student paced lesson." The live lesson allows you to control the students' screens. It requires your students to stay on pace with you and the rest of the class. When using the student paced lesson, the students can complete the lesson on their own time. Nearpod also allows you to add quizzes, polls, draw its, open ended questions, fill in the blanks, 3D objects, and virtual field trips to your lessons. There is also a library of lessons that are already ready for you to use. Nearpod works with all devices, and it works great with Google Classroom and Google Slides.
